In Greece, August is the month of the watermelon, so we could not resist taking a photo of this typical summer fruit in my home country. The color, the smell, its lightness, and freshness are exactly what you need on a hot day. Beautiful and relaxing summer memories!

Old City, old mentality...
I moved to the Old Town of Xanthi with my family for a few months in 2010 and I was thrilled. The idea of strolling daily through its charming alleys with my 8-month-old son in his stroller filled me with joy. But that joy quickly gave way to frustration. My first walks made it painfully clear: the picturesque streets are beautiful, yes, but completely unwelcoming to parents with small children, people with mobility issues, or anyone trying to navigate the town with a stroller or wheelchair.
After two years living in Sweden, where family-friendliness and accessibility are not privileges but everyday expectations, this contrast hit me harder than I anticipated. I had never felt so excluded simply for being a mum trying to enjoy her city with her child.
So I decided to write about it. Not to complain, but to start a conversation. To bring visibility to the invisible challenges many face daily in spaces that were not designed for them. I believe we deserve better. And I believe change starts when we dare to speak! ✨

A spring in Greece, between baby and painting
In Sweden, maternity leave lasts several months, so we traveled to Greece to visit our families. There, with my baby sleeping for a few hours and my family helping me, I rediscovered the joy of painting 🎨.
A magazine inspired me: a beautiful sunset in Halkidiki. Impossible to resist! With time and tranquility, I immersed myself in oil painting 💛.
